Parent Survey

Miss Price
We are excited for the opportunity to add an additional 5th grade classroom for the 2nd semester.  This will allow us to reduce class sizes to better serve your child. To lessen any changes for your child, all 5th graders will continue to have Miss Bridges for ELA and Social Studies and Mrs. Taylor for Math. All students will now have Miss Price for Science. Students will be divided into three homerooms. These changes will begin on Thursday, January 10, 2019.

Please help us welcome Miss Brooke Price, who is a recent graduate from USC Upstate.  In order to meet Miss Price, we will have a special meet and greet time on Thursday, January 10th from 4:45 pm until 5:15 pm.  All three 5th grade
teachers and I will be available to answer any questions you may have. Miss Price is so excited to meet you. If you are unable to attend and have questions, please contact me at 864-279-6300 or

Christmas Program
Could our Cougars get any cuter!?! What a fabulous night with our 5 year kindergarten and 4th and 5th grade Christmas program.

   Angel Tree

Our Relay for Life Team is sponsoring “The Tree of Hope” this Christmas. With a five dollar donation to the American Cancer Society, students were able to create an ornament for The Tree of Hope. On December 21, we will take the ornaments and give them to patients at Hospice House of Spartanburg. Thank you to our students for being so giving!

Principal's Message
We we
lcome our students and families to the Cowpens Elementary School TEAM where we foster compassion to prove that Together Everyone Achieves More!

Our caring faculty and staff will provide an enriching and rewarding school year for your child and you. At CES, we have three non-negotiables that apply to all students, staff and families. They are: 1) Choose kindness and compassion. 2) Every minute counts. 3) Everyone can learn.

At the heart of any good school is a strong sense of community and parental involvement. It is our hope that every parent feels like he or she can make a positive contribution to the overall success of our students and Cowpens Elementary School. We hope that you choose to get involved in your child's education by volunteering or becoming active in the PTO or the School Improvement Council. Please assist us with your suggestions and ideas as we continue to make our school the best that it can be.

We appreciate your taking the time to view the information provided on our Web site. It is a tool that we update regularly to keep you informed. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask your teacher, principal, or counselor. We are here for you!
